Antonio Bosio, Founder of Tony Kart dies at the age of 92.
Last night, Bosio, the architect and founder of Tony Kart passed away at the age of 92. Known as “Mr. Tony Kart,” he founded the brand and started producing chassis in 1959. In 1982 he sold the company to Roberto Robazzi and Carlo Cancarini who still run the company today. He was also famous for developing such things as brake discs with a mono piston floating caliper, and multiple World, European, and Olympic titles with his bosleigh designs.
Antonio’s legacy will carry on throughout karting history as one of the true legends of the sport of karting.
